Have I mentioned how much I love cars? I recently did a piece on the sexiest practical sports car alive, now I’ll pass the torch to a sedan. The Maseratti Quattroporte (I like to call the Mazzo) is the sexiest looking sedan on the road to date. Its looks are reserved yet boastful, streamlined yet defined, and pricey yet well priced.

I’m a fan of the big luxury sports sedans. I have always listed which sedan I’d opt for when I make my big bucks. My options were either the Audi S8 or Mercedes S55 AMG (or S65 if money permits). But after laying my eyes on the big Mazzo, especially seeing one in the flesh…I sure was filled with envy, lust and gluttony! The car does not scream “look at me”, yet it will be noticed. It’s sort of like the hot girl who never tries hard, but she attracts attention. It can be tame, but gun the gas, and you can hear the sweet sound of music from the Ferrari engine. One thing you gotta love Ferrari for is that they make musical masterpieces.

I’m not finished yet….if you want to go all out with the QP, the sport GT version is worth the money. After reading/watching many reviews, all the complaints about this car was regarding the clunky gearbox. It’s been well refined in the Sport GT car. Might I also add that the QP is also of the best looking sedans with twin dual exhausts sticking out under the butt. Seriously, no one does it like Pininfarina, no one! The design of the whole car is flawless. What I like about the QP is, it comes in the whole package: design, power, luxury, space and sports car persona (396HP V8 Ferrari engine, F1 paddle shifters, Ferrari bred).

With a negligible price gap that is not far up from high-end AMG, 760, Bentley territory….why not opt for something different. The 760 is just blah! The AMG is everywhere these days. Bentley is just a big elephant. But the QP is as rare as they come. I like my cars exclusive, like I do with my toys. The fact that you have music orchestra playing through your pipes is enough justification for this car. Now you have an excuse for the wife…you can’t go wrong!
