Beyonce: President’s Daughter….
I watch a lot of African movies which reminds me of back home….often Nigerian and Ghanian. Over the weekend I watched a movie titled “Beyonce: President’s Daughter”. It was actually a Ghanian movie by Venus Film Productions. I was very impressed with the quality of the film, and the story line. The movie had its moments, but the performance of the Actors was quite solid. The cast included Van Vicker, Nadia Buari, Jackie Agyemang and Kalsum Sinari. Raj played by Van Vicker did a good job in his love stricken role. Beyonce (who is quite easy on the eye) played by Nadia Buari was also the performer in her role….showing both her soft and tough sides. Jackie was quite the actress portraying multiple capabilities like singing, and changing character. The ending was a bit of a let down though. But overall, I was happy to see how some of these African movies are beginning to improve a lot, in terms of quality. Now, for an up and coming generation with skill and access to various modern technological advancements….I trust that things should get even better.
Aside from the film itself, another thing that really blew me away was the soundtrack. I must admit, they did the job making good music and selecting songs that totally went with the mood of the movie and the scenes. Apparently Nadia’s dad is the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana and one of Ghana’s most successful musicians. Therefore it is no surprise they had some really amazing tracks in the movie. I have uploaded 3 of the songs I liked in this movie, and I believe those who have seen it will also agree.

In the movie, during that scene, the song was performed by Ciara which was was played by Jackie Agyemang. Now the thing is I can’t say for sure if she sang it for real or it was sang by someone else and over-dubbed in the movie. Which reminds me, I think I will try contacting the Production company if I can get any details regarding the songs.

I agree Ian…I think “Save my Soul” is the best track from that movie, that is actually why I put it first. The instrumentation in the movie was truly amazing.
Yes Tolu, the movie rocks, but I’ll be honest, I think the ending really sucked.

Wow, the song is in like popular demand. I’ve been saying I was going to try to contact the production company as to how to get the songs. Seriously, I’m not sure myself who actually sang this song in the studio. All I know for sure is that the actress who played Ciara in the movie sang it in the movie. But it could be an over-dub. wow, this post keeps growing, since May. Glad everyone appreciates it. When I posted this I didn’t think it will gain so much momentum. I personally thought this song is beyond anything I heard, considering I’m into music production myself. Good to know there are many people out there moved by it. If memory serves me right, I believe there already is a follow up actually. It is called “The Return of Beyonce”. I didn’t hear too many good things about it, so I didnt bother to check it out so as not too ruin the movie for me. I heard it was kind of mediocre, seemed like they rushed it just for the purpose of releasing a follow-up and that the story line was quite weak.

Franc, they could have, the other issue with that though is they must be able to provide a strong storyline to support a 5&6. But they don’t seem to be too good with the endings, even the ending of 1&2 was a bit whack.
Damn, this is the longest thread I have in my entire blog. Who knew, I just got back from a trip one day, my mom said she bought another African movie, I watched it and just decided to post. This is why I love blogs, a good way to get other opinions.

I am an black american who has an Nigerian boyfriend, a started watching African movies a couple of years ago. I was impressed by the movies I have seen so far. The story lines on each of the movies have gradually improved over time. I really like the Beyonce the president’s daughter. Van Vicker did an excellent job playing a love sick two-timing confused man. I think Nadia really put her heart into this role. I was impressed by the way she went from being sweet to completely psycho over someone who didn’t really love her. The movie was pretty good, I think it could have ended better but it was good.

I just saw Beyonce and I’m in the middle of watching “The Return of Beyonce”. I had to come online to search for that beautiful song, which thanks to you I have now found. I agree with the comments above, the world has to hear this amazing heartfelt song. It is definitely on par with some of teh greatest love songs of our time. I can see this song easily becoming one of those tracks that you hear all the time on day time soap operas.

Anif, please never close this site down the people need a place where they can go to hear this song, this is still a special place for me to come to to seek refuge and solace even though I now own these songs I still love to come here where I have something in common with all these people on this site. I’m going to try and find out who sings this song. I lay down listening to this beautiful song and I wonder what she looks like, what is her name? It’s so funny that in our american movies you just watch the end credits and you can find out the name and artist of the song we have taken that so much for granted. This will always be my GIFT SONG,because so many people want this song and don’t know if they will ever have it.Hopefully in the New Year we might find out who sings this song.

Aww…thanks kim! This is why I started my blog, you never know what things people totally share the same views on, unless you put it out there. I myself, am still determined to find out who sang this song. I keep imagining also, what she looks like…..or was it Jackie who played Ciara who actually sang it, I just want answers.
The other reason I would like to know who sang this song is to give proper recognition this person deserves. If I can find out, I’ll be putting up a nice post on here for sure. Also, I am interested to know whoever this person is, what other songs they have written/produced….for she might have even more ground breaking songs that we are all just overlooking and never heard of.

Hi, i have seen all the comments about the movie.Some really critisize it in a better way.I have seen the movie and i loved the first 3 parts but then it starts to suck as that raj( sucker,sheethead[i used to like him u know]) goes back to marry the girl who killed his love(he tought she was dead)!!! he really is a dead fish..how could he ever live with that???as to the directing i have to admit that i have seen better directing from ethiopian movies.

A big fan from The Bahamas. The song “Save my Soul” is sung by Austine Erowele. She usually sings for films as her voice can also be heard on Darkness of Sorrow, which in my humble opinion was even better than Beyonce. I have got the song finally from a guy not so long ago. Love it!

It’s been awhile I’ve taken a long break but I’m back. I sent this movie to a dear friend of mine and the person was impressed with this movie. I lost my bookmark for this site and I tried to find it the old way I used to look it up. I found two more of your web pages, but this one is my favorite. I was a little worried you shut down your site.I noticed yesterday another site said, the lady name is Austine that sings Save My Soul, I’m a little skeptical, on the you tube video of Beyonce the credits state music by her, she could have been in charge of the production of putting the music in the movie not neccesarily sang the actual song.I was going to send this info to my favorite talk show but put it off. This song is a breath of fresh air I’m listening to it again and I’m going to watch the movie as well. Take care.

Hey…Thanks Kim! I appreciate the support. It is hard juggling so many things these days. I’ve been away from this for quite a while now on a long hiatus. Anyway, I Think I should get back at writing some stuff. I do this for the fun of it and use my own money to run the blog. It’s purely my opinion of things, and I like the support from people.

I have only seen two parts of this movie and it is absolutely amazing. Oh so beautiful! I really enjoyed it. I was told that there are 10 parts to this movie. Is there any truth to this. If so, I would like to see the remainding 8…smile.

Yesterday, I watch all the movie and I noticed that, it’s been a long time I didn’t see a good film ! The story is great but the end is not good. Many “doors” are not closed at the end. The movie is impressive with a high level of intensity. The soundtracks are simples but good (so, elegant). Congratulations to all the team who realize and produce it. Thanks to the actors also.
I noticed that Yvonne Okoro is not well known on the web. That’s odd, she played much more time than Jackie Appiah. Please, someone can explain this ? And give me a list of movies she played in ?

Новый способ давления на кандидата на пост Главы г. Химки
Новый способ “наказать” тех, кто посмел участвовать в выборной кампании не на стороне действующей власти изобрели правоохранительные органы г.о. Химки.
Руководствуясь не нормой закона, а чьей-то “волей” сотрудники милиции решили “проверить” все фирмы, внесшие денежные средства в избирательный фонд неудобных кандидатов.
Начались “проверки” с телефонных звонков - где директор, сколько человек работает на фирме. После чего последовали “письма счастья” с просьбой предоставить всю бухгалтерскую документацию, учредительные документы фирмы, и даже, план экспликации БТИ.
Такие запросы химкинским фирмам рассылает 1 отдел Оперативно-розыскной части № 9 Управления по налоговым преступлениям ГУВД Московской области за подписью начальника подполковника милиции Д.В. Языкова.
И всё это в то время, когда Президент дал прямое указание правоохранительным органам о прекращении всех незаконных проверок малого и среднего бизнеса. С это целью внесены изменения в Федеральный закон “О милиции” - из статьи 11 этого закона исключены пункты 25 и 35, на основании которых ранее правоохранительные органы имели право проверять финансово-хозяйственную деятельность предприятий.
Видно, об изменениях действующего законодательства местные правоохранительные органы не уведомлены. И не смотрят телепередачи с выступлениями Президента.
Может быть, эта публикация подвигнет их к исполнению указаний Президента, а также к изучению и соблюдению действующего законодательства

Some people say not to take naps during the day because you will not sleep as good at night but I disagree. I usually try to take a power nap, 45 minute nap, during the day to rest my body and release some growth hormone during the day and I always sleep good at night.
